But... what is phonetics exactly? In linguistics, phonetics is the study of speech sounds. These sounds are produced in spoken communication. It is important to be as accurate as possible as regards pronounciation when we, learners of english, establish a conversation, because the better we prononuce, the more intelligible we will be!
