Consonants

Something to keep in mind as regards consonants is that they might be classified according to their place and manner of ariculation and voicing

- When we refer to place, it means that some consonants occur in different parts of our oral cavity.

- When we refer to manner, we are talking about how these different places of articulation interfere with the air we produce as we speak.

- And when we talk about voicing, we simply refer to vibration. If our vocal folds vibrate, the consonant is a voiced one. Though, when voiceless sounds have vocal fold vibration.

Take a look at my MIRO chart in which I classify the 24 consonats according to their voicing and place and manner of articulation!
