Something to keep in mind as regards consonants is that they might be classified according to their place and manner of ariculation and voicing.
- When we refer to manner, we are talking about how these different places of articulation interfere with the air we produce as we speak.
- And when we talk about voicing, we simply refer to vibration. If our vocal folds vibrate, the consonant is a voiced one. Though, when voiceless sounds have vocal fold vibration.
